Ancient Rome
- Rome was founded upon seven hills that rise above the Tiber
River.
- Republic- Citizens who have
the right to vote and select their leaders. The basis of the
American government structure is from the Ancient Romans.

- Emperor Constantine helped spread Christianity throughout the
empire. Constatine allowed freedom of religion after centuries of
Christian persecution.

(modern day Istanbul, Turkey) because Rome was not the Center of Trade.
