Calling all seniors!  It's time to sign up for the Commencement Choir.  If you would like to be a part of the choir and sing for your graduation, please sign up by this Friday.  Rehearsals will be held after school during the week of May 20--you must attend at least three rehearsals in addition to a final rehearsal after graduation practice to participate.  Sign-up sheets will be posted outside of the Choir Room.

 

NHS members please remember to being signed permission slip, and money on Friday. Meet at south door at 8:00 and wear closed shoes!

On Monday, May 12th, freshmen and sophomores will have the opportunity to listen to class officer candidate's speeches as well as cast their votes for class officers. .

The schedule will proceed as follows:

6A lunch for freshman; Driver's Ed room for sophomore speeches and voting

6B lunch for sophomores;Driver's Ed room for freshman speeches and voting

Seminar teachers should follow this schedule as well; sophomore seminar teachers should eat lunch 6B and attend the sophomore meeting 6A. Freshmen seminar teachers should eat 6A and attend the freshman meeting 6B.

All Student council Applications will be due Thursday morning to Mrs. Letendre's room 203.

 

Any freshman interested in applying for a place in the Student Leadership Initiative Program must see Ms Hitchins immediately to pick up application forms. All of the paperwork will be due to her before May 16 (next Friday) at 3:00. Any questions please see Ms Hitchins.

 

Future teacher projects are due to your cooperating teacher on or before Friday May 23rd.  If you have not picked up your binder from Mrs. Pruski you may do so at anytime.

Sandwich Family Practice and Yorkville Family Practice are offering sports physicals for $25.00 per student.

SPORTS

CHEERLEADING: “CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS” will be held May 12-15th in the High School Gym.

Practices will be May 12-14, before school, from 6:30am-7:30am. Tryouts will be after school on May 15th

 

Next volleyball meeting will be Tuesday, June 13th at 7:45 AM in Coach Koontz's office. Varsity contenders we will discuss team camp. Underclassmen, you will meet with Coach Moore. At this time you are welcome to drop off your SHS camp registration and fees.

 

Attention volleyball players!!! There will be lifting every Wednesday from 3:15-4:00 followed by OPEN GYM at 4:15-5:15!! Weather permitting (if softball/baseball need the gym we will not have OPEN GYM.) We will have lifting/OPEN GYM every Wednesday, except early outs.

 

All boys interested in high school basketball must attend a brief meeting Thursday, May 8 from 305-315 in Mr. Hunt's room (Room 215).

 

There will be Basketball open gym for upcoming freshmen-seniors GIRLS from 4-5 p.m. TODAY

 (No open gym if weather is bad and Spring Sports need the gym)

 

All girls interested in playing basketball next year need to pick up a camp flyer in the office.

 

Lunch

Wednesday, May 28th will be our annual “SENIOR DAY” lunch. The cafeteria staff on behalf of the entire school honors each member of the graduating class with a free hot lunch. We invite all members of the CLASS OF 2008 to lunch in the cafeteria during your regular lunch times. Please accept our invitation and come enjoy lunch. We hope the entire student body, faculty, and staff will support our menu for the day: Spoon Tacos, peas, pears, bread & butter & milk.

REMINDER: ALL LUNCH MONEY & OR CHECKS MUST BE TURNED IN BEFORE SCHOOL IN THE CAFETERIA OR OFFICE. NO MONEY OR CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED DURING LUNCHES. ALSO, A REMINDER THERE IS NO CHARGING.
